Bridal Confession

Here are 5 silly bride, or bride to be, moments and thoughts we may not admit to you. Believe me we know they are silly too. But oh so exciting as well.

1.
Getting to sign your name as Mrs.

Every culture has a way to distinct between the married women and All The Single Ladies. Just getting to change our name from Miss to Mrs can make a girl giddy.

2.
Always having a plus one.

Never having to worry about who you are going to take to a wedding, work holiday party or family function is priceless!

3.
Checking the married box instead of single
(Taxes, Surveys, Etc)

Not only do you get to check the married box during surveys, but you also get more of your hard worked for money back with taxes by checking that very box.

4.
Getting to be the bride at the bridal shows instead of just the entourage.

Of course you loved going to the bridal show and supporting your friend, but it was so much more fun going back as the Bride.

5.
Writing a blog about your bridal experiences.

I have found this blog not only a creative outlet but a way to find wedding ideas and share what I have found with others. Plus it's fun :)

Sh*t Happens

With the days winding down, getting closer and closer to the big day, it is very easy to great stressed out. Even when you said you would NEVER be that type of bride taming the Bridezilla beast can become more difficult. Just take a moment and breathe. Remembering that stuff happens  and realizing this ahead of time can prepare you.

1. Your Bridal Party.

It is such a great honor to be a part of someone's special day, but that doesn't mean it's easy. There's a lot that you ask of your friends with you pop the question to them. With that being said, feel free to give them a nudge if you feel like you're not getting the help you need. Maybe someone hasn't ordered their tux yet. Maybe your bridesmaids aren't getting along. Don't let this stress you out. Handle it with ease and class, as you always do. Or delegate someone else to handle it ;)

2. People will come that didn't RSVP or Won't that did.

Yes you planned and organized, not to mention paid, did the exact count that RSVP'd but let's face it,it happens. This is up to you on how to handle. Open seating makes this setting easier. But it is OK to tell people there isn't space for you at your seating arranged wedding. Especially at venues with limited space.

3. Invitations.

You are getting all your invitations in order  but there are always family friends and friends of friends, or even new friends that you want to invite. I mean I would love to invite EVERYONE. But the reality is there are budgets and space capacities. Just do your best and know that people have been there, they understand.

4. Your Vendor, Photographer, Minister, Venue CANCELS! (or shows up)

Worst ever! The fact is this happens! Just take a moment, and a glass of wine, and breath. The great thing is as brides we receive emails daily on all things bridal. Just take a look at deals you may have received at one of those bridal showers and go with it. Just know it's not the end of the world and no one will know that this wasn't your first choice caterer.  The could actually show up and the quality really isn't up to par again. The party will go on.

5. EVERYTHING WILL STRESS YOU OUT!
Lets face it, anything can set you off! Just remember what this day is really about. Marrying the love of your life and sharing this beautiful moment with your friends and family. The best advice I've received from married women is to enjoy every moment. Because in a blink of an eye it will be over.

Secret Garden Wedding

An outdoor garden wedding can be quite beautiful, using many natural elements to add magical decor to your special day. Here are a few great ideas for this theme, that really capture and take it all that is mother nature.

These beautiful cakes both really capture the outdoor elements. They really show how bold and subtle you can go with this theme. You can use just a dash of green with keys to your secret garden. Or jump all into this theme with a complete woodland Midsummer's Night Dream cake. Just be careful when using these natural decorations, no one wants dirt in their slice of cake.

An outdoor wedding really gives you unique options that you could not do inside, or shouldn't do inside. Take this moment of celebration to release into the world something beautiful. Let balloons float away, release beautiful butterflies or doves (safely) or whatever you would like that really represents the two of you.

Set up fun outdoor games for your guests! You may even want to customize the games to represent, or look like, you. This will be great during cocktail hour while guests are waiting for the reception to begin.

Subtle decorations and centerpieces are really all you need. Let the outdoor elements really shine instead of using over the top decorations. These subtle and beautiful decorations will be easy to set up and can definitely be used, or planted, again.

Choose a unique bouquet that really brings in mother nature. These two bouquets are great examples of just this. The butterflies really do bring in the beauty of nature, and I just love this wildflower bouquet. It truly looks like the bride picked these beautiful flowers from a garden nearby right before she walked down the aisle.

Tastefully Disney Part 2

Heading out to the happiest place on earth this week aka Disneyland! In honor of this fabulous vacation, and with the success of the first blog, here are a few more ideas to incorporate all things you love about Disney Tastefully into your wedding.

Add little hints of Disney that only you and your fiance know about, but will make beautiful pictures. A little hidden mickey in your bouquet and fairy tale touches on the bottom of your shoe are perfect for this idea.
Customize your centerpieces to resemble some of your favorite Disney moments. The rose in the glass case is such a magical part of Beauty and the Beast. Perhaps you want something a little less obvious, try this Frozen themed Winter Wonderland wedding.

Recreate moments from your favorite Disney Princesses during your wedding photo shoot. Here are Ariel and Snow White inspired photos set up for these beautiful brides.

I know I already did wedding cakes as an idea in the first blog, but could not help sharing these amazing creations! As a huge fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas I just loved this Jack and Sally themed wedding cake. But this homage to It's a Small World is truly spectacular. I would be curious to see how many guests actually knew what the inspiration to this cake was.

Okay, so this isn't as vague as the other ideas but what about having your actual wedding at Disneyland or Disney World!! There is no better way to get that Disney flare for your special day. Worried about the price? They have many packages to accommodate your financial needs. Who better to take care of all your Disney wedding details than the people who work there.

Big Screen Bridal Lessons

Here are some great bridal moments brought to you by Hollywood. Whether you need a good laugh or cry. These movies are worth taking a few lessons from.
Lesson #1EVERYTHING can go awry and shit happens (literally) Don't let that get in the way of what your wedding is really about. Marrying the man of your dreams.
Lesson #2 You can plan your wedding and support your also engaged friend. Don't let petty stuff ruin a life long friendship.

Lesson #3 Yes perhaps your betrothed killed you and took your money, that doesn't mean you should try and marry someone else's man.

Lesson #4 Yes cramps would be awful on your wedding day. But taking 12 muscle relaxers before walking down the aisle is a bad idea.
Lesson #5 A wedding is also a joining of two families, things are gonna get crazy. Just keep calm and everyone will come together at the end.

Lesson #6 So your boyfriend was captured by pirates, he may have survived! Maybe you shouldn't run off and agree to marry a devious prince after hearing this news. Have a little faith in true love.

Co-Ed Bachelor Parties For All Seasons

Many bride and grooms to be are celebrating this momentous occasion together and the co-ed bachelor/bachelorette party is becoming more popular each day. Here are a few great ideas to "party" together for every season.

Beach Bungalow
Having a summer wedding? Rent a beach house with all of your friends! Whether you are closer to the West, East or Mexican Coast, there are plenty of places to hold this celebration. Have a bonfire, barbecue, or just have some fun in the sun.

 Spring into the Vines
Spring is the ideal time to plan a wine tasting tour. The scenery is beautiful, the weather is fabulous and the grape vines are ready for the picking. You may not have to go too far either, there are wineries all over the United States. Not everyone a big fan of wine? Some wineries are catering to both wine and beer drinkers alike. Make sure to set up transportation for everyone as well, so everyone can drink worry free.

Winter Cabin
On the flip side of Summer, rent out a cabin during Winter. Enjoy the fun and games in doors while staying cozy by the fire. Or if your group enjoys the winter sports, pick a cabin near your favorite ski and snowboarding resort.

Fall into FUN!
Fall is a great time to hit up your favorite amusement park with your friends. All the kids are back in school and the busy holiday season hasn't quite begun. Check out Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and Six Flags to name a few. Going with a big group? Contact customer service to see if they offer special pricing.
